Seeking the Essence: The Compelling Portrait
Sept 27 – Oct 1, 2010
The essence of this workshop is about developing a unique concept of a subject and then utilizing a solid grasp of the technical aspects of photography to capture that vision. If you’ve ever wanted to explore portraiture, this class is a good place to start. We will work with both candid and formal portraits, learning to implement a variety of simple and easy lighting techniques. This class is for amateurs and advanced amateurs.

Taking the Next Step – Alumni Class
Oct 20-23, 2010
Now that you have developed an understanding of your camera and it’s basic functions, the fun begins! Throughout the week, Jennifer will reinforce your understanding of exposure, photographing in difficult light and digital workflow. We will begin to identify what inspires us each individually and hone into developing a personal vision with our photography. During the week we will photograph the magnificent landscapes of northern New Mexico, explore candid and formal portraits and delve further into Adobe Lightroom as a tool to develop and catalog images. The intent of the week is to solidify your understanding of the basics and resolve any technical issues, allowing you to push the limits of your imagination and passion for photography.
